Brig. Gen. John Cho, CG, Western Regional Medical Command briefed the Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee at a recent Military Affairs Forum about the state and direction of military medicine in our community.
He said the Pentagon recently inaugurated the Defense Health Agency, followed by the designation of six multiservice healthcare markets in separate regions. The Western Regional Medical Command has responsibility for an “enhanced Puget Sound multiservice market” that includes Army, Air Force and Navy. BG Cho commands Army medicine at hospitals in 20 states, of which Madigan Army Medical Center is the largest.
